The world’s most beautiful beaches
Yesterday we had Rarotonga and The Hamptons, now we’re headed to Vietnam and Monaco. Sun, sea, sand and more, let me tell you all about it.
Phu Quoc
This tiny island called Phu Quoc is found at the most southerly tip of Vietnam. Both Vietnam and especially Ho Chi Minh can be crazily chaotic, but Phu Quoc is the opposite and exudes peace and calmness. The west coast of the island gets the evening sun and is where most of the hotels and resorts are situated, but I suggest taking a look at the east coast too because the secret beaches are far prettier. Also fun to rent a scooter and drive up the entire west coast ending in the far north. You’ll find Peppercorn Beach, a mini-resort with six villas, a tiny restaurant and the most stunning and most romantic beach you’ll ever see. You’ll be the happiest person alive, with an ice cold glass of white wine in your hand and feet dangling in the azure water.
Monaco
Monaco is one of those places that you have to have visited once, but is not necessary to visit every year. The totally over-the-top wealth that it attracts is unrivalled. Drape yourself over a lounger, sip delicately at your (very expensive) glass of champagne and people watch till your eyes pop out. During the Grand Prix (and the rest of the year), you’ll see yachts as large as Holland, with helicopters to match. Look, dream and keeping your eyes closed, imagine that you’re on one of those boats.
