How to work A Burgundy lip

The burgundy lip has been spotted at a few shows for a few seasons now. Darker, more exciting and very sexy. It’s back again to stay for this autumn, which seems to have already started.

Keep it matte

Extreme matte is the prettiest, but it does come in gloss. Make-up artist Lucia Pieroni, who works for Vera Wang has the golden tip for working a burgundy lip to the max.

Kiss and kiss and kiss

Apply it directly to the lip. No lip pencil, just the lipstick itself. Then for the famous tissue kiss, apply it again and kiss. It creates a slightly diffused look. Keep the rest of your make-up minimal for the sexiest effect.
