Hole in your trousers

If my loved one went to the hairdresser, his grand father used to say “yeah right, to a lady hairdresser that is.” Spending money on hair that wasn’t cut short was beyond him. Grand father doesn’t live anymore, but something tells me he wouldn’t quite have understood this jeans trend. “A hole in your trousers?! You’re paying for that?”

I can just hear him say it. Now I could share stories about Jason Denham and Adriano Goldschmied, the perfect wash and right tear. He would’ve thought it was all poppycock, but were I to wear ones to our Sunday afternoon lunch he’d probably say: “Looking good. And I’m not talking about the food.”
