When my mother worked at a luxurious clothing store a long time ago, her boss told her that she always had to look at a customer’s bag and shoes. You could tell whether they’ve got something to, erm, spend. Rushing and putting on sweatpants or old jeans might happen, but then you need to finish it off with those expensive shoes or It-bag. Enfin. I think shoes are vital for any outfit. It gives it something extra, a lift, a turn, and (in case of rightly chosen ones) some good sex. And they always fit.
