– HOW TO-
Bronzing, shaping & highlighting
I think we’re all wondering how to get those right proportions in our faces. You want your face to speak. Makeup artist at Sisley Cosmetics, Randall Wijngaarde, not only told us how to do it but showed it on Liesbeth. We’re going to face summer with lots of shimmers and gold. We’ll all look like bronzed goddesses.
Take good care of the skin. Start on a cleansed skin and make sure to hydrate it afterwards. Want a glowing skin then this is step 1. Randall used Sisleyouth for Liesbeth, Sisley’s new skincare. You can start using it from the age of 25. But be careful, it’s a highly addictive cream. It’s a light gel cream emulsion that energises, protects, and prevents ageing. Which we all like, right?
It’s also a good basis for underneath your makeup. Baume Efficace underneath the eyes makes sure you look rested. It reduces swells and nourishes.
Apply Éclat Tenseur on the entire face as primer. This makes sure your primer stays put longer and also gives your face a little bit of extra shimmer without making it greasy. Apply it with a brush. It feels soft on the skin, use it to apply an even layer.
Phyto Touche Illusion d’Été’s a uniquely nourishing and bronzing gel powder that lends itself perfectly to shape your face. Apply it underneath the cheekbones in the shape of a crescent moon. This makes your cheekbones razor sharp and makes your face look tight, like they’re actually shadows.
The Phyto-Touche, on Liesbeth in the colour Miel Canelle, you can create a bit more depth. Brush the face with the accompanying Phyto Touche pencil on places that will be light up by the sun. For example your temples, jawline, and nose. A bronzed face has more dimension.
Shimmer on the eyes is of course a must with this look. It makes your eyes pop more and also gives you a summery look. Phyto-Ombre Glow has been applied to the eyes in the colour gold. Apply it on the entire eyelid up to the arch.
Use the colour Pearl as finishing touch on the bone underneath the eyebrows and on the cheekbones to light them up optically and to make them protrude a bit. Highlighting and shaping are two parts that always go together for the ultimate effect.
You see, a glowing look’s really not that difficult. Just practise with the right proportions and you’ll be able to pull it off. Look well at your own face and use it as guide.
