Viktor & Rolf donated to museum Boijmans
Museum Boijmans van Beuningen now owns ten Viktor & Rolf creations. Writer and maecenas to the Arts Han Nefkens bought coats, capes, and dresses from the A/W 2013 collection of the Dutch fashion duo only to donate them to the Rotterdam museum. A true patron of the arts.
The couture pieces, characterised by asymmetrical shapes and mostly black were presented in Paris last summer. The show was preceded by a minute long meditation in a zen garden. From autumn onwards, the brand new museum pieces will be on display in the exhibition The Future of Fashion is Now. Works from over 50 international fashion designers will be showcased in this exhibition. The Future of Fashion is Now runs from 11 October to 18 January at museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.
