I drink about two smoothies a day now that I’ve begun my ‘Innerwave detox.’ At night I get to eat a great, warm soup with lots of vegetables. Yesterday I made a cauliflower soup with a dash of coconut milk. Great and nourishing. In the morning I prepare a shake with lots of fruit, but I also add a ‘source of fat’ to slow down my sugar intake, to give me more energy and to satiate my hunger. I’ve already put some chia seeds in a layer of almond milk yesterday evening. It’s really important to soak them first (which you could also do in water or coconut milk) because otherwise they’ll swell up in your stomach. Which you’ll definitely notice. You can also add some linseed or a scoop of lecithin powder as source of fat. Sounds rather frightening, but you don’t really taste it.
I bought a bag filled with vegetables and fruit at the market this weekend. It was such a lovely moment to put everything in my fruit bowl. So much choice! Today I felt like a mix of banana, mango, almond milk, spinach, and the soaked chia seeds. Though I find it a pity that I’m only allowed one glass.
What do you need and how to prepare it:
- 1/2 mango
- 1 banana
- 1 kiwi
- small handful of spinach
- soaked chia seeds
- quite a dash of unsweetened almond milk
Put all these delicious things in a blender and mix.
Enjoy!
