10 things women with great hair

You can lock yourself in your bathroom for hooooours trying to perfect your hair and spend thousands of dollars on hair treatments and cuts. But hey, it really doesn’t have to cost you too much time (and money) to have a great head of hair. Top stylists have listed ten important and simple things you can do to keep your hair looking great. And no, it doesn’t mean you have to go and fetch a ton of expensive products or wake up earlier to give your hair a good case of tender love and care.

And then we mean heated styling tools like straigthers, blow dryers, curlers and hot rollers. I know they all give your hair great styles, but it dries it out completely and before you know it, you’ll hardly have a head full of hair left. And alright, it’s okay to use them occasionally but when you do, don’t forget to use protection sprays.

The softness of the silk will treat your hair with care. You’ll feel like a princess when you way up and by not using cotton sheets, you won’t have fluffy hair.

It’s hard to indicate precisely how often you should wash your hair. It really just all depends on the kind of hair you have, the quality, and a ton of other things. If you live in a city, you’re prone to washing it more frequently cause of the polluted air and if you work out daily, then that too affects its quality. Just pay close attention to what your hair needs and take care of it accordingly. So many people share their opinions on how often you should be washing it but truthfully, do whatever you are most comfortable with.

Okay, so it may sound like I’m contradicting myself here after reading my intro, but what I mean is that you shouldn’t skip certain hair care steps. Using conditioner is very important because it makes sure your hair cuticles are closed after each cleanse. Think of it as a protective layer for your hair.

If you’ve found the perfect combination of hair treatment products, stick to them. Apparently they’re a great fit for your hair. It would be a shame to switch up your products if it isn’t necessary.

It all goes hand in hand you know. Eating healthy results in shiny hair with a great color.

Sun has a huge influence on your skin (wrinkles) but the same goes for your hair. It’ll change its color, and although salty seawater gives it a great texture, it dries out your hair. So hairspray with a bit of SPF isn’t an unnecessary luxury.

Dropping by a hair salon every six to eight weeks isn’t a bad idea. Even just a millimeter trim is good for your hair since it gets rid of any split ends, or even worse, dead ends. Trust me, you don’t want either of those. So keep your hair happy & healthy and get it trimmed more often.

I know, I know, you’d rather wash you hair with warm water, but trust me, it’s better to turn down the temperature a bit. Warm water gets rid of your hairs volume. And cold(er) water is a better fit for your hair care products. Long story short: the colder the better.

You know precisely how much of what product you need to use. Using more of something doesn’t mean it’ll work better. Usually using just a small amount is more than enough. But it’s all a matter of touch, practice and trying things out. You’ll eventually figure out exactly what you need and what you don’t.
