3 X skinny juices
I take it that everyone has a balancing day once in a while. I can imagine that you’d like to go easy after wading through a four-course dinner or a heavy night. Then choose for delicious salads with lots of vegetables instead of a croque madame (totally lush BTW) and in the evening a filling soup with lentils instead of pasta. In all cases, eat enough because your body will be asking for more and then you risk letting go again. Just skip heavier food (and desserts) during the day after and you get back in balance.
These are my 3 favorite smoothies for the days you want to take it easier.
Take note: the quantities are not so accurate since you have to find out for yourself what you find the most delicious. More pineapple makes it sweeter, and more kale makes it a bit bitter. If you want a thicker smoothie, just add less liquid. Get it?
Greennnn
- Half a banana
- Handful of kale
- Few pieces of pineapple
- 2 good sloshes of coconut water
- Splash of lemon juice
- Teaspoon of spirulina
Detox Pink
- Frozen red berries (to be found in every supermarket freezer)
- Small glass unsweetened almond milk
- Tablespoon chia seeds (let these soak a while in the almond milk in the blender)
- Tablespoon goji berries
The Killer
- 2 large cooked beets (to be found in your supermarket refrigerator) I would store the leftover beetroot in a plastic container. Otherwise your fridge will be perfumed with beets.
- Juice of 3 carrots (you can juice these with a juicer of buy a bottle of organic carrot juice at a health shop)
- Few pieces of pineapple
- Splash of lemon juice
- The real die-hards can always add a handful of spinach.
