5 reasons you shouldn’t wash your hair everyday
A while back Mrs. Kim K. revealed her washing schedule. At first we thought it was nice to know but eventually we recoiled a little. Because isn’t washing your hair every 5 days a little scarce?
Colored hair
Colored hair? You should wash it as little as possible. You color will last longer. Believe me my beautiful colored hair turned reddish in no time. Another tip: choose a shampoo that suits the condition of your hair.
Healthy hair
After washing your hair feels soft and smells nice. The problem is, if you wash it every day, it dries out. By washing you hair you strip the hair of essential oils making the hair want to compensate and eventually overcompensate. This causes it to get greasy. Just use a tiny drop of shampoo instead of a handful. Your hair doesn’t get any cleaner by using more.
Hair that stays put
Your hair stays in shape better if it’s not freshly washed. If it’s very clean pins and clips slide more easily and curls will just sink out. After a few days the hair is stiffer and often looks better.
Less frizz
Washed hair can easily frizz or become static. After a few days the hair is rougher and this doesn’t happen as frequently. Handy for preventing a frizz head.
Hurrah for dry shampoo
Because of this magic potion there’s no need to wash your hair everyday. It postpones the washing session for another day as greasy hair roots are taken care of.
