6 x working out on vacation without bringing your gym shoes
I know that during your vacation your only worries should be when to turnover on your beach bed, what time lunch is served and when to order a glass of wine. These will certainly be my main issues this year but my name wouldn’t be Jet if I didn’t bring my trainers. I enjoy my vacations even more if I get up early for a run along the beach, waterfront or where ever (for some strange reasons you hardly suffer from hangovers on vacation). But what if you don’t feel like bringing your running shoes? (I understand). There are other ways to get a little training done during the holiday. I’m not sure but I bet that pasta will taste a lot better. So here they come: workouts without the need for shoes.
Beach ball
Buy a set at the local beach hut, two bats and a ball. Position yourself in shallow water, bikini on and go! This is the best way to get a super tan.
surf board
For windsurfing or taking on large waves you need some serious lessons, which might be a little too much to ask. But one of those body boards is great for splashing about. Let the waves carry you out and paddle back in, a serious muscle workout for your arms. And make sure to apply plenty of lotion on your back. This is advanced tanning.
beach stroll
Take your lover by the hand for a stroll through the surf. You’re on the move and don’t need shoes.
snorkling
If you’re somewhere with an underwater view it’s a great way of flushing out those daiquiris.
swimming
The sea is more intense than the pool. Just a half hour will give you a total body workout. Just keep it moving.
volleyball
Most beaches have a net and a group of people playing the game. Ask if you can join in. The hours fly by and it’s a great workout.
dancing
Dance the night away on those cute flip-flops that did fit into your suitcase. You’ll be the slimmest and prettiest of them all.
