7 TIPS TO GET YOU TO WORK OUT

Tomorrow morning, I’ll be starting boxing lessons with my trainer Robby. I’ve honestly got no idea of how to go about this, but I am meant to stand in the ring with my eyes wide open eyes and freshly washed hair. Of course this is not an option in the winter, ‘cos it’s pitch black, freezing cold and I would rather stay in bed as long as possible. Now that summer is really on the way, early light light and pleasant temperatures (thus closing in on bikini time), I’m moving the training a few hours forward. Why? So you can free up your evenings and go to a café.

Here are some motivating tips to drag yourself out of bed for a workout . Print it out, hang it up and I’ll see you in the gym or in the park.

Shine

Burst out the fun shirts. Sounds a bit overdone but it’s not. Treat yourself to a cool trainings outfit and you’ll really feel more like getting into exercise. This can also come in handy if you happen to bump into Mr. Cute.

Dance to the music

Make a catchy playlist on your iPhone that ups your energy and makes you feel happy. Who knows, perhaps you prefer exercising to slower music, that’s fine. Don’t forget to update your play list regularly; this will keep your motivation up. It can be such a drag always running to the same tunes. Boring.

summer is coming

My trainer can’t repeat it enough. Guys, summer’s on the way. And she’ll be here faster than you think.

united we are strong

Make appointments to exercise with others; it makes it harder to be the party pooper.

INSTAGRAM ‘TIL YOU DROP

This may not be something I encourage. As doing too much on Instagram is something I consider a little too fake. But open the app in the morning and you’ll see that the 50 people you follow have already posted their workout. You don’t want to feel left behind…

set a goal

Many people need to have a goal before they start exercising. I think this is a great idea and it really works for me. For instance, I always sign up for a community run. So write down your goal and treat yourself to something nice after you’ve achieved it.

Sunshine

Listen up everybody! The sun is shining, so get out of bed.
