ANTI-AGING FOR THE EYES

A touch of foundation or a dab of concealer can hide a million sins. But when you remove it at night, it can feel like a let down, seeing those dark rings appearing or those lines looking a tad more intense. Aye. Back to basics, because there are enough solutions to replace the foundation.

Anti-aging for eyes
Many people find it ridiculous to use a separate cream for the eyes. Yet it is essential. The skin around the eyes is much thinner and more sensitive than the rest of the face and so needs to be treated accordingly. And if you don’t? A shame, because the skin around the eyes is drier and forms lines and wrinkles more quickly. I’ll share a few miracle products with you especially for eyes, so you can started.

Massage
Might sound excessive, but it’s even more crazy to not massage your eye gel in well. I learned from the Estée Lauder ladies who always explain in a thorough, yet amusing way, just how to use massage movements to really get the cream to help you look younger. Since then I’ve smeared and massaged loyally. You place a dab of eye cream on your ring finger and then tap, like you’re playing piano. It works to move the bad stuff from under the eyes and the result is a fresh look. So, quite handy to play a spot of piano at work. 

The big deal
If you’ve always had stubborn dark rings under your eyes, you could go for a medical treatment. Belotero is a filler for around the eyes, which lightens and brightens the skin. The only downside is that it’s pricey and the result only lasts for 3 to 6 months. A cheaper alternative is the Sparkling Eyes treatment from Doctors at Soap. They treat the bags under the eyes and sagging brows with a combination of Botox and a Hyaluronic acid filler, resulting in a lovely fresh face.
