Purple, purple, purple

As you know by now, I’m crazy about color. Preferably from head to toe, but since I try to avoid looking like a screaming rainbow, I put the focus of color on only one or two points. It makes me so very happy that purple is currently trending. For as long as I can remember, it has been my most favorite color. But don’t be lead to think that purple needs to be confined to nails or eye shadows.

You need to be quite daring and pretty out there to dip your hair completely in the purple dye. If you find this a bit too intense you can also mix it with a some nice shades of grey, or take just a few purple highlights.

Deep Purple lipstick is super sexy! Personally I think it’s even better if you’re slightly tanned, because it can make your skin look pale. The Diva lipstick from MAC, €19 has a stunning deep color.

I think purple nails are extremely versatile. You can match it with just about everything. You can choose from a dark shade like this Vendetta-color Chanel, € 23.95 or a lighter shade is also great for summer. Check out this Do you Lilac It (cute name right) by OPI €14.95.

Purple eye shadow actually works really well with every skin type and eye color. I think it is most effective if you work with different shades. The Hypnose Doll Eyes Palette by Lancôme, € 57.90 is perfect to play with the purples on your eyes. If you have gone for a purple eye, do keep the lips subtle to avoid looking overly goth.
