BELLY BUTTON PERFUME
If I don’t wear perfume, I feel incomplete, butt naked. I was on my way to the office yesterday when it dawned on me that I had forgotten my fave fragrance. Eeeeeeek, panic! I also couldn’t find my makeup bag with all my precious little mini’s in it. I dug deep into my handbag, but it was not there. I slammed on the brakes and turned back around. At home I sprayed Chanel on my neck, hair, wrists and belly button.
You read it correctly. My belly button is smelling mighty fine these days. I read some time ago that Liv Tyler uses this trick because she feels more at one with her body. Her father Steven also taught her to spray your perfume where the body becomes warm. By doing this the fragrance lasts longer. Nice piece of wisdom for an old rocker. Considering that I find Liv to be one of the sexiest women of all times, I have made a habit of adopting anything and everything that she does. If we add Coco Chanel’s tip that “you have to spray where you want to be kissed,” then I think it is safe to say that the belly button is a justifiable spot.
Other Places
There are a few less obvious places to let your favorite fragrance be smelled. A few drops on your lower back, as this causes a subtle aroma throughout the day. Too much on your wrists can be overwhelming and that is not what you are trying to achieve, the same is said for your surroundings. Another place is inside of you elbow, which also ensures a lighter scent. Behind your knees is also an option but the friction of your legs can make the fragrance release quickly. Even at the end of the day.
