Tara Martin is a business woman, fabulous fashionista and born and raised Angeleno. Lucky for us (and you) she is also the latest addition to our Amayzine team of international editors. Every week she will give us an inside look on her life on the fault line.

Summer is in full swing in Los Angeles and that means extra sunny days and long nights. Summer in LA means a flurry of events and meetings in a variety of LA hotspots. Mixing work and play always makes for interesting adventures.

I kicked off the week with a fashion editor meeting for DTLA Custom at none other than the Soho House on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. It’s one of my favorite meeting spots because there’s always tons of interesting artists, entertainment execs, and of course the fashion crowd so the energy is always creative and buzzing. The perfect spot to meet an editor. The view from the restaurant at the top reminds me why I love LA.

Mid-week I attended a backyard cocktail party in Brentwood. It was for one of my favorite charities, P.S. Arts, which raises money for underprivileged school districts in Southern California in order to provide year around fine arts programs for the students. This event was even more exciting than usual because it was co-hosted by a very cool new company, Depict. Depict is run by an inspiring woman CEO, Kimberly Gordon and their mission is to provide un-paralleled access to amazing digital art. The intersection of art, tech, fashion and philanthropy, nothing makes for a better cocktail party than that.

Backyard at private Brentwood home for event. The perfect LA evening.

Ending a busy week with some girl friends at Terranea Resort and Spa. It’s a beautiful property overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Palos Verdes and it’s the perfect way to unwind with friends.

Until next week!
