BB cream vs foundation
BB cream versus foundation. Amayzine put it to the test. We have two contestants in our beauty ring, ready to fight it out. In the righthand corner it’s ‘full and striking’ foundation and in the lefthand corner it’s ‘subtle and fine’ BB cream. Bring it on, girls. And remember, fight fair and square.
Coco: “A two in one product is without doubt the most convenient. Though it annoys me that something is pre-mixed. That’s the same as having your steak cut for you or your boyfriend telling you what to wear. It’s my call, d’ya hear! So I prefer my ‘ol day cream and my personally selected foundation. This way I get to decide for myself if it’s gonna be a pancake or a crepe. Believe it or not I like to go heavy once in a while.”
three foundations that make Coco’s beauty heart flutter:
- Infallible 24H-matte by L’oréal is sweet stuff. It gives you the matte effect (perfect for shiners) and the coverage is not too heavy. Great every-day foundation that lasts your whole workday. You still look the part when you get home.
- SuperStay Better Skin by Maybeline gives you wonderful coverage. Do you have dry skin? Then you’ll be very pleased with this oil rich cream, flexible wear and very comfortable on the skin. For sure.
- Beyond Perfecting foundation + concealer by Clinique is my favorite you know. If your looking for a new disguise this will be your new BFF. Just say au revoir to all your imperfections.
Josselin: “I aim for a three minute make-up session in the morning. I can pretend I always walk around with a natural look, like a Parisian, but I do have a lot of secret little helpers. These helpers cover up my imperfections and accentuate my positives. All without adding to many layers. That’s why I prefer a BB cream or CC cream, it’s light, easy and smooth with a minimal chance of getting the cake-effect.
three BB creams that do what they say:
1. CC-fluïde with P-CL-E is a nourishing CC-cream with a little added color. The taint may be a little heavier than you are used to but it does apply easily. P-CL-E is the star ingredient that Biodermal uses to solve small skin problems.
2. My favorite amongst the CC creams is by Estée Lauder. Very light, very smooth and gives you an unbelievable beautiful effect. There are little color beads that explode when applied to the face. It blends together perfectly to match your skin tone and keeps it all very natural. And it coats all your imperfections in one go!
3. If you suffer from impure skin your best choice is the BB cream by Vichy. Foundation is not a good option in this case because it can clog up the pores. BB Normaderm by Vichey works with impure skin correcting problem areas and has a matte finish. It’s filled with ingredients that are nourishing for your skin. Normadern BB Clear Vichy.
