Gigi’s bizarre love life

Guys, I’m having a hard time keeping up with who Gigi is and isn’t dating. I was a firm believer that her and Cody Simpson were a match made in a picture perfect couples heaven and it took me nearly two weeks to recover from their breakup. Both of them were so young and blonde and good looking and oh, I could visualize their entire future together. But then suddenly they were “too busy” for a relationship and their over packed schedules is what burst their bubble. Cody and Gigi were no more.

But before you could even say the words “break up,” miss Gigi had already moved on to the next one, named Joe Jonas. And although I had a hard time saying bye to Cody, I liked Joe too. Pictures of the two of them appeared everywhere and all was good in Joe and Gigi relationship heaven. But I did find it odd that she started dating a new guy after dumping the other due to ‘lack of time…’

All seemed lovey dovey in the world of Joe and Gigi until that too was suddenly over. And again: before you were able to let the news sink in, there was new arm candy spotted on G’s arm by the name Zayn Malik. The latter has yet to be confirmed but every gossip magazine is working overtime waiting for the official announcement.

I recently sat down with a friend of mine who is always up to date when it comes to celebrity gossip and when I told her how disappointed I was about the breakup with Joe she said, “You know it was all a publicity stunt don’t you? There was nothing real about it.” “But huh, how?!” I was completely mind boggled. Wasn’t their love real? How the heck was that a publicity stunt?

She declared I was too naive for my own good: “google pictures of the two of them, you’ll never see any of them being affectionate,” said the gossip insider. But hold up, wait a minute, what about these pictures?? They were all staged, they knew there were camera’s everywhere. I was completely disheartened. Was I too naive or this other person too cynical?

It seems as though my thoughts were accurate because Joe’s been dealing with the Zayn news rather horribly. He unfollowed Gigi on Twitter and Instagram and deleted all his pictures of the two of them together. Broken hearted much? Publicity stunt my ass! Gigi in return responded to all the gossip and commotion with a series of (now deleted) tweets including: “sometimes life just happens.. For whatever reason in whatever timing. And sometimes it doesn’t make sense til it does. That’s it.”

Alright, okay, why do we even care anyway? I just have a hard time getting so attached to certain celebrity couples when everything is fake and over before you know it. My cynical heart can’t handle all this heartache guys. So do yourself (and me) a favor and try staying together for longer than an average menstrual cycle. Trust me, it’s better for everyone. Thank you.
