HOW TO SURVIVE A TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT
I’ve made quit a few flight hours recently visiting all corners of the world. Where others sigh and groan at the thought of being stuck to one chair for ten hours I look forward to a little time off-line. Time for me, no one bothering me and finally time to get around to these things:
Clean and conquer
A long flight (but even a short one) is ideal for bringing the baggage in your phone gallery back from 4.239 to 714. You know you can use the Whatsapp settings to avoid automatic saves in your photo album right? Keeps the rubbish out of your albums.
Time for your nails
I would refrain from filing your nails in the air, as it’s not something that’s appreciated by your neighbors. But you can work on your cuticles by applying Dior’s Abricot cream. Gone, all that dry loose skin. Usually you don’t have time for this but on a plane it’s ideal.
View up
I hardly bestow myself the time to go to the cinema but don’t want to miss out on certain films either. Focus (hilarious). Black or White (mmm). Entourage (feel good). And Gone Girl (so thrilling and long I finished watching it just in time deeply annoyed by the irritating purser on the speaker telling us we were arriving at our destination). I already have a few films in mind for my next trip.
Making an album
Filling up a photo album is something you have to do online but you can prepare by making a new folder with the pictures you want to use. I personally like making folders with pictures I want in large print, which I then finally manage to get printed.
Friendly neighbors
It’s not a must and I prefer to skip this one but a colleague of mine recently had a great travel buddy. Even after arriving at her destination they met up a few times. You can draw your own conclusions…
