At home with Kate Moss

Checking out Kate Moss’s home. Who wouldn’t want to? Unfortunately the iconic supermodel is extremely private. She has no Instagram, no Twitter account and hates paparazzi. She did however open the doors of her romantic villa in North London’s Highgate Hill to her employer Vogue Uk, for their December issue and where she works as stylist. She showed them her favourite things.

Kate is clearly a collector and loves things with a story. “I collect coffee table books”, she said about her piles of gorgeous photo books stacked around. And next to books, she collects glasses. “The sunglasses are for dress up parties. I collect all original Ray-Bans.”

She has a gigantic bottle of her favourite perfume standing in her bathroom. “I always put a little Chanel No 5 on when I’ve been in the bath or going to bed. I layer perfumes when I go out.” A portrait of her with daughter Lila, taken by Mario Testino is also on show in the bathroom. “I love that photo.”

The statue of Kate made by Marc Quinn is seen standing in her hubby Jamie’s dressing room. “We use it as hat stand.” Her bunny ears are also always lying around somewhere, “I kept the entire Playboy shoot outfit.”

The house where Kate has been living for a few years once belonged to writer William Blake and then to British poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. “Our guest room was his bedroom. This is where he wrote.”

The lightening shaped earrings are from Jamaica. “They were a gift from Anita Pallenberg.” Her vintage Porsche is parked out front. “I drive an antique 911s. My ultimate car.”

Sigh…
