KATY PERRY loves H&M
exclusive interview
Not only are the H&M designer collections a media spectacle each year, their Christmas campaigns are equally impressive. Last year Lady Gaga and Tony Bennet graced the photos of the party collection and this year the torch has been handed over to Katy Perry. As you know, Christmas is not quite my forte, but I do love a good party. And Katy Perry. And H&M. And who knows, maybe Christmas will make the list someday.
What makes it extra fun is that H&M interviewed her and is sharing the interview exclusively with Amayzine.com. About Christmas, her roll in the campaign and her most cherished Christmas memories. Here you go.
what was it like to shoot a christmas campaign for h&m?
“It was a very creative process. We shot the campaign in the middle of summer, somewhere in July. It was a lot of fun to get in the Christmas mood so early, I’m better prepared than ever this year.”
Favorite look?
“Every look is a favorite of mine. I loved the red dress, very chic with a 70’s vibe, and then there’s the suit. Oh, the suit is so great and so flattering for every shape or size.”
What’s your favorite look that you’ve ever worn on stage?
“From my Prismatic World Tour it was the Moschino look with all the smiley-faces because it was so lively. Of course it’s impossible to choose just one but if I was being forced to name one, that would be my favorite.”
What’s your most cherished christmas memory?
“We usually go on vacation with the family, my cousin and her two daughters come with us too, and we spend most of our time eating a drinking a lot. That’s pretty much it. Eating a lot.”
what’s the best christmas present you ever received?
“A faux fur leopard print jacket. I think I was in the sixth grade when I spotted my dream jacket in the window of a second hand store and my mother had remembered it. She gave it to me for Christmas and I wore it to school every day in Santa Barbara (California), even when it was 82 degrees out. My classmates made fun of me but I really didn’t care, I love it.”
