Elke is the newest addition to the Amayzine clan and will be working as a translator in our international HQ. She spent her childhood living in fabulous cities like Paris, Kopenhagen and London growing up to be an excellent linguist. She also happens to be stunning. how many bags do you have?

I think I have about six that I use regularly. I mostly have small bags I use for going out which have just enough room for my wallet, phone and keys.

do you have a designer bag?

Unfortunately not yet. A friend of mine has the Balenciaga City Bag which I absolutely love. So I wouldn’t mind having that in black.

where did you find this nice tote bag?

You might not believe it, but this bag was only €15 from Mango. I was on the hunt for anything that resembled the Alexander Wang’s Prisma Tote Bag when I bumped into this one in the sale. I wanted something my laptop would fit into since I take that with me everywhere I go.

ARE YOU CAREFUL WITH YOUR BAGS OR DO YOU JUST DUMP THEM IN A CORNER SOMEWHERE?

Oh, this is horrible. No, I am anything but careful with my bags. I dump them in a corner when I get home without taking a second look. Maybe that’s the reason I don’t have any designer bags. Oops…

WHAT DOES A BAG DO FOR A WOMAN?

Difficult question. I don’t necessarily know what it does for a woman, I just know that I definitely need one. If I’m not carrying around a bag on my shoulder, I’m less at ease. I automatically assume that I’ve lost something.

What do you always carry around in your bag?

I always have hand cream. I can’t stand having dry hands. You’ll also always find my keys and wallet in there and red lipstick in case I make last minute plans. Oh and not to forget, my laptop. For me a bag needs to be practical.

WHAT ABOUT ITS CONTENT? IS IT CHAOTIC OR DO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHERE EVERYTHING IS PLACED?

The content of my bag is always very messy and it always takes a few seconds before I find what I’m looking for. Maybe it’s because the bag is rather big. Every time I buy a new bag I try to keep it organized, but that never lasts very long.

ARE THERE ANY BEAUTIES ON YOUR WISH LIST?

Other than Balenciaga’s City Bag I wouldn’t find it terribly awful to own Chanel’s Wallet on a Chain. In black. So pretty, but absolutely no room for my laptop.
