likable flats

The ratio flats versus heels in my wardrobe are about 5 to 95 (percentage), the main reason for my love of heels is that my feet look smaller. With my size 41 I stand my ground (I do have length, thank god), but it goes without charm, sailboat feet. Step into some heels and they shrink a few sizes. Walking on inches all day doesn’t bother me but there are times it’s just not convenient. Festivals, boot trips, city tripping, that kind of thing. What to do?

Jet and Josselin are sneaker chiefs and are not familiar with this problem. Nikes just aren’t me. All Stars, I like. On my feet however, they look gigantic, so a no-go I’m afraid. What about Vans? They’re apparently good for you and my feet look tiny in them, I own two pair. Leafing through the new collection I expect to expand this summer. I draw a little heart beside Vans. This week I came across a new brand: Mipacha.

Mipacha has vibrant colored shoes and was created by Dutchie Nick de Ronde Bresser two years ago when he was just 19. He flew to Peru and worked there with a local shoemaker for 6 months and designed and created these shoes. Apart from being cool (that’s what I think) they are also fair trade. This way he creates opportunities for people in Peru to get honest pay. So I’m very happy with my Mipachas and predict many happy festival days without shoe dilemmas. In my opinion one pair just isn’t enough, so I’ll probably order in some more.

Apart from having large feet, I hate feet in general. Those cute open sandals? I just let them walk on by. If you have a large shoe size as I do, I promise you these shoes will guarantee success.
