Last Wednesday, our Amsterdam office celebrated Sinterklaas. A Dutch holiday similar to Christmas and Santa Claus, but just a tiny bit different. I’ll save you the historic details about the holiday and just inform you about the fun part: it involves presents, poems and lots of sugary sweets. Everyone drew a name out of hat and had to not only buy a present, but write a poem too for the person they pulled. And Elke, our translator, was the lucky one who got me. Now according to her, her English is better than her Dutch and in her poem she clearly even stated that she was just a tad bit skittish after pulling my name out of a hat. But her poem was so sweet and fun and she made me an entire travel kit based on what I had written here. Seriously, I loved it all. So now onto her outfit of the day. Today she’s wearing a t-shirt and jacket from Ruby Tuesday, Zara jeans, a Mango bag and H&M shoes.
