Today I present to you my own mother in Look of the Day. The woman that always raises her little finger when drinking tea and one I have never ever caught going wrong when it comes to fashion.

When I asked her for the Look I detected a slight panic:”Oh dear, what should I wear?” and then she disappeared into la wardrobe before coming out into the garden. I believe this was her fourth choice. The first set wouldn’t have looked nice with the roses (seriously), the second was too frivolous and the third rounded her shape too much.

So in the end it was the Marc Cain, her favorite. With a Chanel bag and a hat she bought when living in South Africa. Her wrist holds a bracelet that was a gift by my brother (yes today). The watch is Bruno Ninaber, I would guess it’s at least 100 years old. The exact number of years I hope to still enjoy her company.
