May’s first kiss

One of the things you can do when you’re on set (where a lot of waiting is involved) is show each other YouTube videos. I showed Dirk (a co-judge on Holland’s Next top Model) mine (this one, this one and I never forget this one) and he showed me his finds.

The video was viewed 129 million times so there’s a slight chance you’ve seen it. I hadn’t and thought it was quite funny. It’s called ‘First kiss’ which took me back to my first kiss. It was a long time ago at a vacation resort by the sea. I was fourteen years old and spent half an hour tongue twisting with Herbert van Hoogdalen – Hi Herbert – finding it rather strange and not particularly exciting. I was so shocked by the experience that I retreated back to my shell for a year and a half before starting to enjoy it. Don’t worry, eventually it all worked out fine.

In the video we see two people who have never met and who were brought to the studio to kiss. The great thing about these videos is the casting. Apart from the older women and young guys (yuck, he was young enough to be her son), they’re all a good match.

I’d say; take a look but turn down the volume when they start kissing (I think kissing noises are rather distasteful) and like me, wait for the sequel. I’m pretty sure some of these couples still see each other and have taken things a step further than kissing.
