MAY’s latest addiction

A year ago when still a small startup we worked from a tiny attic looking out onto a photo studio. There day after day we would see Greg Shapiro gasping for breath ‘cos he had to dish out twenty questions per minute. And also deliver funny lines in between, which he managed.

All those studio days have led to my latest addiction: www.quickestquiz.com. The basic idea is simple. Greg asks twenty questions in one minute to which you answer with yes or no. This may seem easy, and it is if you know that Bill Clinton plays the trumpet, Russel Crowe was born in Australia (he wasn’t) and whether there is such a thing as a five thousand dollar note. And just as you’re answering the next question pops up.

Then right after your minute with a racing heart rate, Greg bombards you with the answers at the same speed. Every day there’s a new quiz, here at 21:00 (UK 20:00), so you can compete along with the rest of the world if you’re ready then. Makes the whole thing that little bit more exciting.

I’m addicted. Which is OK: you don’t get wrinkles or a hangover, it only lasts a minute and my boss doesn’t mind. And I get to exercise my brain again.
