It’s not like I don’t ever throw my iPhone to the corner of my room when my alarm goes off and spend another hour snoozing. You don’t have to go. No one is forcing you to get up every morning and work up a sweat. Except you, so you are the only one who can do something about it. Well, if you planned a workout in the gym with a friend, then it’s common courtesy to show up. Anyway, there are always moments when your motivation to work out is hard to find. For example when you’re still at work, a little beat, then you’re probably not to keen on heading to a body pump course (or whatever exercising activity) you had planned.
These tricks are going to help give you a little motivational boost and I can guarantee that as soon as you’ve finished your workout, you’ll be feeling satisfied!
– I’ve said it before. If you have something planned you are least likely to cancel. So find a workout buddy. Nobody wants to be flaky and known as Sir Cancel-lot.
– If you happen to be texting someone, tell them you’re going to go and workout (‘Hey mom! I’m heading over to the gym today. Good right?’). That person doesn’t necessarily have to join you, but that way you threw it out here and you can’t go back anymore. You have to go.
– It also helps if you change from regular shoes into your workout sneakers. You’re halfway there. Even if it requires taking them off again at the gym to put on your workout clothes.
– Bring along a treat for after your workout. Something to look forward to when you’re done working up a sweat.
– If an hour long cardio training was on your agenda, you can easily do this in the gym and combine it with a cool show that’s on TV. Gym’s have TV’s nearly everywhere so what better way to be entertained while working out.
– Bring your workout clothes to work. This way you can never use the excuse that you have to ‘drop by your place first.’
– Sticking to the workout clothing: buy a cute ensemble. Trust me, it motivates.
– Listen to some up beat tunes. It gives you energy!
– Repeat after me: sun, sea and the beach. And who doesn’t want to lay on the beach with a perfect bikini body.
– Open up your Instagram and look up the following hashtag: ‘fitgirl.’ There you go.
