The prettiest and most athletic woman in all of Amsterdam happens to also run a very successful PR firm. A woman like her is bound to have an interesting collection of bags if you’ve got a life and a job like hers.

how many bags do you own?

Well, better I don’t count all of them ;-). I actually have no idea. Half of them are stuffed in a box and some are scattered all through my apartment. Small ones, big ones, in all shapes and sizes.

How did you get ahold of this beauty?

This was love at first sight. Without even an ounce of doubt, this baby became mine.

I love the no-nonsense style. And the bag is perfect. It can carry a lot of things (zipper open) or I can make it more compact (zipper closed). It’s extremely functional and I bought it at a store called Sky in Amsterdam.

What does a bag do for a woman?

A bag is an extension of yourself. It says a lot about you. It’s something you enjoy carrying around, and so it’s become a part of you. Don’t you always feel a bit ‘lost’ when you aren’t carrying one around?

Be honest, are you careful with your bag or do you just dump it in the corner of your house?

I’m definitely not always very careful, but I try to refrain from leaving them on the floor. But I do always use them rain or shine and I never keep them in their dust bags. I’d forget about them if I did. I think my bags are pretty so I always try and leave them somewhere so I can look at them.

What about the insides? are you chaotic or very neat?

I keep all my beauty products together, but other than that, everything is just loose in the bag. My keys are all chained to a built in key chain from Jérôme Dreyfuss; he thinks about pretty much everything.

what do you always carry around in your bag?

Nothing exciting. My iPhone of course, lip balm, a wallet (usually without cash but with cards) and a pair of shades from Salvatore Ferragamo.

do you think it’s easier to climb the ladder if you carry around a designer bag?

Definitely not, I think it’s the person carrying the bag that will have doors opened for them, and the bag just emphasizes them. Like Jérôme always says: ‘Besides every woman there’s a strong man.’ My strong man is ‘my Albert’ (all the bags are named after men in his surroundings).

and lastly, any bags still on your wish list? If so, which ones?

The Python Vergile, but the Eliot in a mustard color is also a great bag.

De knapste en sportiefste vrouw van Amsterdam weet ook nog een waanzinnige succesvol PR-bureau te runnen. Een vrouw als zij heeft ongetwijfeld ook net zo’n interessante tassencollectie als haar baan en leven zijn.

Hoeveel tassen heb je?

Nou, die tel ik maar beter niet ;-). Geen idee eigenlijk, deels bewaar ik ze in een grote hutkoffer en deels hangen er hier en daar een aantal door het huis. Kleintjes, grotere, in alle soorten en maten.

Hoe kom je aan deze beauty?

Dit was love at first sight. Geen twijfel over mogelijk, deze werd snel de mijne.

Ik houd van deze no-nonsense stijl. Tevens is deze tas perfect, er past veel in (dan gaan de ritsen open) en als het compacter moet, gaan de ritsen dicht. Hij is dus zeer functioneel en ik heb ‘m gekocht bij Sky in Amsterdam.

Wat doet een tas voor een vrouw?

Je tas is een verlengstuk van jezelf. Een tas zegt toch ook wel iets over je. Het is toch iets wat je graag bij je draagt, het hoort bij je. Voel jij jezelf zonder tas ook niet een beetje ‘lost’?

Zeg eens eerlijk, ben je er een beetje voorzichtig mee, smijt je ‘m in een hoek of staan ze allemaal op een plank in een dustbag?

Ik ben zeker niet van het voorzichtige, maar ik zet ze  liever niet op de grond. Wel gebruik ik tassen in weer en wind en berg ik ze niet netjes op in een dustbag. Dan zou ik ze zo vergeten ook. Ik vind mijn tassen mooi om te zien, dus ze staan netjes in de garderobekast of hangen her en der, altijd klaar voor gebruik.

Hoe zit het met de inhoud? Ben je een chaoot of netjes geordend?

Ik bewaar alle beautystuff bij elkaar, maar voor de rest heb ik alles los in de tas. Sleutels kunnen heel handig aan de ingebouwde key chain van Jérôme Dreyfuss, hij denkt ook werkelijk aan alles.

Wat heb je altijd bij je in je tas?

Weinig spannends. Natuurlijk de iPhone, maar ook een lipconditioner, een portemonnee (meestal zonder cash maar wel met bankpassen) en een fijne zonnebril van Salvatore Ferragamo.

Merk je dat er meer deuren openen met een designertas?

Zeker niet, het is denk ik altijd de persoon die ‘m draagt die deuren opent, maar die wordt zeker gesterkt door haar ’tas’.

Zoals Jérôme het zegt: ‘Besides every woman there’s a strong man.’ Dat is dan ‘mijn Albert’ (alle tassen voor vrouwen zijn vernoemd naar mannen uit zijn omgeving).
