I keep saying it: your nails are your business cards. Taking care of them is a solid fact just like Doutzen’s abs. Not having the time isn’t an excuse because we’ve already shared some tips and tricks with you. I often try by best to show up with an original polish, take a look at this or this. And then I stumbled across some nail facts that I bet you didn’t know either.

The shape

If you want to make your hands look slender you give your nails the same shape as your cuticles. Unison shape results in the optical illusion of longer fingers and longer = thinner.

Filing

Do you always file your nails using a sawing movement? Don’t this will create little ridges. File repeatedly in one direction so your nails last longer.

Grow

Did you know men’s nails grew faster? And that your nails grow slower the older you get? Or that the nail on your middle finger grows the fastest and the one on your thumb the slowest? You didn’t, did you? Well you do now.

Every day

Just as it’s important to look after your scalp for healthy hair you need to take care of your cuticles, preferably every day. It’s doesn’t take up much time, just apply a drop of oil to your cuticles. This one from O.P.I. for example.
