Creative changes

– home decorating quick and easy –

It doesn’t have to be expensive to give your home interior a twist. Nor is it necessary to start throwing things out and getting everything new. Nope. It can all be done with just a few minor adjustments. Those adjustments don’t have to be an overhaul cause you might be the type of person who wants to repeat the whole process in three weeks time simply because you bore easily. That’s why I’ll share a few easy-peasy tips with you to make your house look like new without to much fussing about.

They always work. For inspiration you can check your Pinterest account; pin and print. Or you flick through those stacks of magazines you have, tare out pretty pictures and wallpaper your wall with them. Not literally. Use some double tape to stick them up, you won’t tare your wall down when replacing them.

You’re prettiest pictures look best in a frame. Again you don’t have to get the drill out, just put them on the ground against the wall. Like in an art gallery. It looks so much cooler and you can switch them around to keep it exciting.

It might be a bit so soon, right after Easter, but hanging decorations, whether Christmas or Easter, are so much fun that it’s a waste to put them away for the rest of the year. So hang them on a branch, or a coat hanger and you can enjoy them all year round.

A light or a candle can totally change the mood of your house, but you can also use them for some styling. My string of garden lights has found a prominent spot in my living room. When I’m tired of them I can always hang them outside.

Yes I am talking about those yellow-blue-purple-pink and green triangles attached to a string that you put up on your birthday. Just leave’m up. You don’t have to crisscross across the room you can just hang them on one wall with some tape.

I love tape and stickers because they’re not definite. You can stick up sassy collages but also use them to make little works of art. Saves you loads of time not having to paint the wall over and over again because you got it wrong.

My colleague Daniëlle thought it would be nice to paint her daughters name on the wall of her room in giant letters. I loved the idea but it can be a little taunting. What if your handwriting is not neat enough or you sneeze while painting? Storage bags on the other hand are a great idea. You can put away lots of stuff and they look prettier with letters or words on them.
