red carpet Bafta’s 2015

This morning you were so overloaded with news and clips of the frenzied Grammys that you would almost forget that on the other side of the Pond the BAFTA’s had been awarded. The crème de la crème of the English-speaking film industry came together Sunday evening for the film awards; best described as the British Oscars. The red carpet was rolled out at Covent Garden and we watched critically as the scene unfolded.

Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore is on a roll this award season. Her role in Still Alice was nominated for nearly all the big awardsand she receives them in style. In London she wore a red creation by Tom Ford. Super elegant and chic, but at the same time very daring thanks to the navel-deep neckline that she can always carry off so well. Her glamorously curled red hair complemented the look perfectly.

Laura Bailey
As far as we are concerned, Laura Bailey, British model and editor of Vogue UK, was the best dressed in this dazzling beautiful, winter-white dress by Emilia Wickstead with a Charlotte Olympia clutch.

Amy Adams
Another American redhead who is booking success on British terrain is Amy Adams, here in a white evening dress by Lanvin. The dress drapes beautifully over her body and the gemstone-studded waistband lends a fresh edge.

Hofit Golan
The British it-girl Hofit Golan had the fashion police writing out a hefty fine for this gold star-sprinkled creation. The stars were actually not the worst thing about this outfit. The drop-shaped neckline made it truly hideous.

Rachel Riley
The style of dress could perhaps just pass muster, but that colour in combination with the pathetic, dull fake-fur around her neck obscured the view so much that with this look, actress Rachel Riley has earned herself a one-way trip to the worst-dressed list.

Sienna Guillory
For this fashion lapse, we gladly quote the Daily Mail that called the colour of actress Sienna Guillory’s dress one ’that was very popular in bathrooms of the 1970s’.
