something that involves youth and serum
It’s been keeping me occupied for about a year or so: the fact that I’ m reaching the end of my twenties. Bo recently wrote about the big 3-0. I have about ten months to go but my skin seems to be getting ahead of me. A little frown here, a laugh line there. It won’t kill us or turn us ugly overnight. But I must say that a serum I received the other day that promises to get rid of fatigue and hollow features has caught my attention.
We’re talking quite a mouthful here: Hydra-Hylal intensive hydrating pluming concentrate with hyaluronic acid by Laboratoires Filorga. Just typing the name took me over three minutes. But if this serum does what it’s says, all that abracadabra is fine with me.
And…?
Every weekend I try to hold back. But with that little 30 cloud hanging over my head the devil in me responds with ‘enjoy it while it lasts Coco, you’re not 30 yet. Kick back and have a few drinks. You can stop on Sunday.’ And I listen. Only to regret it on Monday morning when I see my puffy face in the mirror.
Thank god for Hydra-blablabla to which I assign the important task of fixer upper. I apply the serum over my day-creamed face. It feels fresh and smells divine. I don’t know if it’s the pleasant fragrance or the progressing serum that causes it. Whatever it is it makes me feel fruity. My skin seems fluffier than before. I smear a little extra serum on the dark spots under my eyes, (they were gaging for it). It doesn’t make them disappear but seems to relax them. Like they’ve been on a run and been given extra water. Very inducing at the beginning of my workweek.
I’m not really a serum or creamy sort of person (I own one jar) but I decide to let this one hang around for a couple of days. I’ll be happy to show you how my face looks after seven days of use. So stay tuned for next week.
