Tara Martin a business woman, fabulous fashionista and born and raised Angeleno. Lucky for us (and you) she is also the latest addition to our Amayzine team of international editors. Every week she will give us an inside look on her life on the fault line.

It was a week of inspiration, good news, and power lunches, this week in La La Land!

We started the week with some Monday motivation and fresh sartorial inspiration in the office, and got some exciting news as OK Magazine’s Editor wore a DTLA Custom Goyard to NYFW! I love how cool, effortless—and customized—her look is.

Monday night my appearance on Holland’s Next Top Model aired and it was so exciting to watch our fall photoshoot in the making! It really brought me back to how much fun I had filming with the cast and crew. In the episode the models worked hard to win the shoot with my brand DTLA Custom and I also served as a judge on the panel, alongside our editor in chief May-Britt Mobach. It was a great time, and I swear Holland has the nicest people on the planet!

Tuesday I headed to Soho House in West Hollywood to celebrate stylist, designer, and editor extraordinaire Danie Bles’ birthday. We had a great lunch, and Soho House has the best views and most stylish bathrooms. Plus, a mid-day cocktail never hurts.

Wednesday I met with an editor for lunch at The Ivy—an LA staple and celebrity hotspot.  The afternoon called for a little pick-me-up, so I stopped by Bottega Louis downtown for a colorful treat. Be sure tostop in there if you’re in downtown LA, it’s an adorable restaurant and market with delicious macaroons.

Since relocating downtown I’ve been missing my beach time, so I headed back to my beloved Manhattan Beach for dinner at Arthur J Thursday night—and of course snapped my accessories on the way.

Finally, we wrapped up the week with a little street style session featuring our newest collaboration with up-and-coming designer and Project Runway contestant Matt Sarafa. Our creations will be featured on the show’s finale, but I’m excited to share this peek with you now! I love Matt’s artwork and he’s really a talent to watch.

Until next week!

Xo,

Tara Martin
