7 things

you need to know about the victoria’s secret show

Tuesday was D-Day. The show that makes every model weak in the knees. Fashion wise it isn’t necessarily a highlight, but if there were Oscars for fashion shows, Victoria’s Secret would win one in the category of Biggest Spectacle and casting director Ed Razek would win one for making models intensely happy (and very sad too).

So on Tuesday night the show took place but don’t worry if you think you’ve missed out, it won’t be aired until December 8th. So for the meantime we’ve collected the most important facts of the show for you. And no, it might not consist of any rocket science or a cure for cancer, but it is a fun read.

1. The show alone cost 20 million dollars

Considering the show had a line-up of 47 top models and there was one bra worth two million, then it seems like an affordable bargain.

2. Gigi’s dream

When a video of Gigi surfaced last week in which she starts crying because she’s just been told she’ll be walking in the show, people still found it necessary to state that they found her reaction absurd and that dreaming of being part of the show is pathetic. If you don’t care, stop following her. I love this about Gigi. The woman so beautiful she makes a bunch of women question their sexuality.

3. the performances

Who performed this year? Definitely one of the more important questions. This year Ellie Goulding, The Weeknd and Selena Gomez had the honor of sharing the stage with 47 girls with killer bodies.

4. the duo

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid lost their Victoria’s Secret V-cards and dazzled on the runway.

5. Kris and Caitlyn

There they were. Front row. Kris and Caitlyn (formerly known as Bruce). And sorry, all the praise for Caitlyn, but on the photo’s where she’s embracing Kris, she still resembles a man wearing a wig. But you’re getting there Caitlyn, you’re getting there.

6. an expensive push up

Lily Aldridge had the honor of strapping on this years most expensive Fantasy Bra. The show piece was worth two million dollars and was covered in 6500 gems including diamonds, yellow sapphires, pink quartz and blue topaz. And no, this was by far not the most expensive fantasy bra. Gisele Bündchen wore one once that had a fifteen million dollar price tag. Ka-ching!

7. so unfriendly

A TMZ journalist asked Magdalena Frackowiak what she was planning on eating after the show. Madame was all but thrilled by this question and so she asked if he could come up with a ‘smarter question.’ Alright, okay, so next time we’ll ask you about your thoughts and opinions about the increase of refugees and whether the government should prioritize their wellbeing.

Pfff these kinds of people exhaust me.
