Anyone who has ever been to London has most definitely heard of The Hoxton Hotel. Mega hip and the best location for parties with its deliciously decadent rooms. From now on the Dutch have no need to swim the British Channel because Amsterdam now has her very own Hoxton.

255 Herengracht is where you will find the rather large building of The Hoxton, which is just as impressive on the inside as it is on the outside. The Hoxton dislikes fuss, and that alone is evident by it’s fantastic policy of free Wi-Fi. Furthermore, every guest receives an hour free international calls. Daily! Nightmarish mini bar accounts are also not to be feared here as only milk and water are to be found. In all sincerity, this could be considered quite a disappointment after a day of traveling. But anyway, it is rather honest.

There is also a lounge, a bar and a restaurant (tip: choose the chicken, it was to die for) and for those with itchy feet to tie the knot, this location would work a treat. It is also suitable for a day with the laptop, so who knows, you might just spot me there some time. All in all, this is a huge asset to the city of Amsterdam and to get an up close look for yourself, you’d best make a reservation on the double.

Wie wel eens in Londen is geweest heeft er vast van gehoord, The Hoxton Hotel. Mega hip, altijd vol leuke feestjes en met overheerlijke kamers. Vanaf nu hoeven we het water niet meer over te steken want Nederland heeft haar eigeste Hoxton, en wel in Amsterdam.

Aan de Herengracht 255 zit het vrij grote pand van The Hoxton, dat van binnen net zo indrukwekkend is als van buiten. The Hoxton houdt niet van gedoe, en dat is alleen al duidelijk door het heerlijke beleid van de gratis wifi, en elke gast krijgt elke dag een uur gratis internationaal bellen. Doodenge minibarrekeningen hoef je ook niet te vrezen, er staat alleen melk en water in wat, eerlijk is eerlijk, me ook wel weer een beetje een teleurstelling lijkt na een dag reizen. Hoe dan ook, het is wel zo eerlijk.

Er is natuurlijk ook een lounge, een bar en een restaurant (tip: neem de kip, die is echt góddelijk) en voor wie trouwlustig is, dat kan hier ook prrrrima. Ook geschikt om een dag met laptop te werken dus wie weet ga je mij er binnenkort nog een keertje spotten. Al met al, dit is een enorme aanwinst voor de stad en beter boek je als de wiedeweerga een kamer om het zelf van dichtbij mee te maken.
