Things we love

– bikini –

To keep that summer feeling going I’ve thrown myself into a new addiction. Yes we’re at the office, and even though colleagues post pictures of us in the garden, most of the time we’re sitting neatly behind our desks. When we’re out in the gardens our laptops have the tendency to take off, and so do we. So, back to my addiction: Instagram. Those beachy posts are working on our envious nerves. I know they’re nice and cute but very offensive to people who have to sit in an office. Nonetheless I’ve started to take a curious interest in bikinis. And I’ve seen some pretty great ones already.

This brings us to the next point. If I see a cute bikini I want to have it. Only my vacation is usually planned at the end of the year and the bikini I spotted at the beginning of summer is then nowhere to be found. Clicking on buy right away isn’t an option either, as I just emptied out the Kenzo-shop there’s not even one euro left in my bank account. As a precaution I stocked up on bikinis at the beginning of the year and now own eight. Well it was more like a panic attack fed by a deja-vous of me wearing an old battered three year old bikini and the fact that there are no bikinis available in this country in November or December (my vacation-time). Yes I know there are sporty ones or ones with bottoms size 32 an top size D70 that don’t go together, but I don’t have those sizes and to be honest the colors usually clash.

Hence the reason of my panic attack earlier this year almost robbing all those stores of their new collections and the wonderful sets that now decorate my wardrobe. Because of Instagram I’m already making up a list for summer purchases for next year.  Besides the panic attack was also a good thing because I’ve bought my bikinis early I also started working on my beach body much earlier. Only pro’s so far and no con’s. Not so good for you though, especially if you are still looking for a nice bikini for this summer. I wish you the best of luck. I got to those stores before you so chances are you’ll be the one ending up in unmatchables. But hey, who cares, it’s summer.
