Okay, so last week the summer truly gave us a big slap. Four days of insanely high temperatures. There was no escape from the heat. Normally the summer weather is my favorite, but last weeks extremeness and the feeling of sweat trickling down the back of my legs was too much to handle. But hey, I have found the solution. And it is refreshing and so super cool.

Our freezer is now completely stocked with delicious ice cream. My favorite. For an ice cream, I will really spring to life. In whatever form. When I was younger I lived next to an ice creamery and that could be where the obsession traces back to. It was without a doubt the best ice creamery ever, serving the tastiest ice cream in the whole of the country. I’m sure you can imagine, evening outings to this sweet salon could take place several times per week.

I don’t live near there anymore, but understandably some habits are hard to shake. And honestly, I don’t want to shake this one. Meanwhile, I found a new ice cream parlor which is also very cosy and now our freezer is now full of cold, sweet goodness for those times that I don’t feel like going down to the parlor and would rather just have that cold, creamy moment on my own balcony. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not dissing the classic rainbow icy pop and the good old snow cone, but I’m also absolutely not apologizing because it’s just a few little calories and no one will see it. As far as I’m concerned let that sun shine on. The summer couldn’t ever really be long enough.
