Useful tips

Alrighty then,  it’s September again and for most people that means that summer vacation is really over. You head might still be stuck in the sand somewhere so transferring to work mode might be a little tricky. A week ago you probably would have been checking your watch to see if it was time for cocktails or a glass of wine. Too bad ‘reality’ has caught up on you and I can only imagine that you are looking for something to give you that much needed boost during your work hour slump (as you’d rather be sitting by the pool). I’m going to help you get over that. No sweat.

  • Go outside for a short stroll. Even if it’s only for 3 minutes. Literally stepping out of the workplace will refresh you.
  • Eat something. A banana for example. Or make your self a cup of coffee.
  • Play some tunes on your headset. Or, if your colleagues don’t mind, turn up the volume of the radio, just al little.
  • Chew gum.
  • Drink water that isn’t on your desk, that means getting up to get some. Get a little movement going as well.
  • Take a few deep breathes. Get up and stretch all the way up, up, up.
  • And another useful tip: tuck in an hour earlier tonight.
