we proudly present
About a year and a half ago I almost got a neck hernia from looking up all the time. I couldn’t stop looking up at all those immensely tall buildings, they were so high. This is all so bizarre fore me, especially being able to call New York “home “. I felt like a mini-person in this large city and found myself chronically lost for the first few weeks after the move. I came to New York with my beau. He came to a new job and I came with a quivering lip.
The big move is now a year and a half ago and I’m all-in the game. Well, maybe not all-in just yet… at least I can find my way around now without Google Maps and get from A to B faultless. I caught the “ everything-must-be-green-and-organic” virus and run around the gym like a maniac (never did that before). I can walk and text at the same time without causing any major accidents, I never leave home without a spare battery and I really got the hang of weekend-brunching.
And I refuse to always be “ on the go”,
I consider myself a home-guru.
Sometimes I wonder if I have changed. Okay, I have become a bit of a health freak but I still go all the way down under on gin tonics (never without a ciggie). And I refuse to always be “ on the go”, I consider myself a home-guru. I mean what’s better that walking around in your pajamas while chatting to your best friend on the phone? My shameless girl-crush on Kim K( so not done by hip New Yorkers) hasn’t passed, I hate Dutch people with a fake American accent and still long for my weekly Croquette Sandwich and Pataatje Oorlog (fries with peanut sauce and onions).

The past 18 months were cool but certainly not a non-stop life in a bed of roses. At the beginning I kinda felt like a headless chicken and hadn’t the slightest idea about what I was going to do here. To put it bluntly; my boyfriend had a job and I had nothing. And then my blog happened. Through Instagram I found that my New York pics of city and fashion were much appreciated, so I thought why not blog? I went online and things began to happen. Things like Amayzine.com. This hot fashion site has been my favorite online space for months. So I’ m as proud as a punch that I’m going to write for you from New York. So you’ll be hearing from me soon.
