What hairstyle suits you?
The best haircut for your face.
Have you ever gone to the hairdresser with a torn out page of a magazine of your favorite coupe; “copy and paste please”. Well there’s a nine out of ten chance that your hairdresser will say it doesn’t fit your face or that you’ll just be terribly disappointed by the result. Reden? Het past gewoon niet zo goed bij je gezicht. Well these are the coupes that will look great on you. Watch & learn.
- Go for asymmetrical. A round face looks even rounder if your hair is all the same length, go for layers. If you use lots of layers your face will look slimmer.
- Is your hair parted down the middle? Cut long layers that fall alongside your face and ask your hairstylist for subtle changes to those layers. Short layers will make your face look round and therefore a little rough.
- Bangs are allowed but then the whispy kind. So not straight down on top of the face but more along the sides.
- If you’re tired of wearing your hair loose, no matter how great the coupe, just pull it back into a tight ponytail, no higher that your ear level. Go for tight, really tight or it might come across as bouncy.
- Round heads have the tendency to look doll-like. This doesn’t have to be a bad thing because if you want to accentuate your eyes and cheekbones choose a pixie-cut. The styling is very important, as the messy look will just make your face look rounder.
- Oval faces are in danger of looking too long. However this is exactly the right shape for straight bangs as they visually break your face line.
- Part your hair in the middle.
- A long bob breaks the lengthy look of your face and softens up your look.
- If you have a heart-shaped face you have to make sure you have wavy ends to prevent accentuating a pointy chin. Heart-shaped is really pretty but the wrong look can make your chin really pointy.
- If you have long hair part your hair at the side, it brings out your eyes beautifully.
- A heart-shaped face can also look al little broad. Long layers are a good solution as they fall over your ears giving your face a little more shape. A lovely wave at the ends will complete your look.
- Keira Knightley has a square-shaped head. Okay that might not sound so pleasant but it’s still the reason short hair looks so good on her. A soft short bob that touches the chin does wonders for a square-shaped face and accentuates the pretty lines.
- Go for a well-balanced layered coupe with lots of volume. This will give your face more body and shape and on the whole a perfectly balanced look.
- Feather the ends a little. If your hair falls straight down it will only accentuate the shape of your face and what you really want is to soften up those hard lines. Beachy waves will look great on you.
