What to do with a pineapple? Well this for example

I love pineapples. When I buy one ( I always smell the bottom. If it smells sweet, it’s ripe) I prepare it as soon as I get home. I chop it into little pieces throw them into a tupperware bowl, put the lid on and into the fridge. I’ m a fan of tupperware. Even leftover lentils get their own storage box. Right, back to the pineapple because I have some great recipes for you.

PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE

Man, is this a treat. Super easy, super nutritious but the same taste as candy.

What you need and how to make it:

–      A handful of pineapple

–      1 Banana

–      A handful of grated coconut

–      2 Shoots of coconut water

–      A snif of cinnamon

Everything into the blender, give it a wiz and you’re done.

ROASTED PINEAPPLE

If the bbq is going full blast put some pineapple rings on the grill or stick some pieces on a bbq spear. Roast them just until warm. Watch out a stand by, they’re done really fast. You can serve them with some yogurt ice cream, yummy. If you have a real sweet tooth add some sugar but I don’t think it’s needed.

 PINEAPPLE AND MINT

Cut the pineapple into small pieces and put them in a cup. Get out your mortar and grind some mint leaves and coconut sugar. Push and grind until it’s all grainy. Add the pineapple and stir. Delicious with a dollop of cream cheese or quark.
