Okay, so many of us may not have been alive when James Dean was still walking around on Planet Earth, but regardless, we can’t help but swoon when we see pictures of this cultural icon. There’s a reason even Taylor Swift references him in her songs ( “you got that James Dean daydream look in your eye..”). And his tragic life has beauty to it. It’s fascinating.

In Anton Corbijn’s newest work of art ‘Life’ we get introduced to Dane DeHaan who has a rather uncanny resemblance to Dean. He stars alongside teen heartthrob Robert Pattinson who plays the role of Dennis Stock, best known for his iconic pictures of the awkward misfit and king of cool. The movie details the lives of Dean and Stock when Dean’s life changed into that of a movie icon yet one that was unwilling and reluctant to share his vulnerabilities with the rest of the world.

A bit of eye candy for the girls and some of that enviable coolness all guys hope to have. This movie is the perfect ‘what to watch’ during this mid-fall weekend.
