It’s Fri-yay guys! The countdown to a well-deserved weekend of R & R has officially begun. Got a few holes left in your agenda? Well, we’ve got a fun little activity for the movie enthusiasts amongst all of you. What to watch this weekend: Irrational Man.

Woody Allen’s newest mystery drama is filled with his traditional witty and eloquent dialogue. ‘Irrational Man’ is the story of a philosophy professor who is spending his summer teaching at a small town college on the East Coast. Dealing with a rather personal existential crisis, he gives his life a new purpose after embarking on a relationship with one of his students.

The movie contains a lot of Allen’s memorable themes resulting in a humorous pseudo-thriller set amid New England’s notable architecture and hermetic surroundings. And his ever-popular creation of a dynamic yet alarming relationship devours its watchers into the world of a “Pygmalion mentor relationship”. Duo extraordinaire, Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix, give us a proper rendition of the misconception of intellect and the sourness of a man of mystery in an environment that’s starving for one.

For anyone interested in the works of Kierkegaard and Kant and anything related to situational ethics, you don’t want to miss Woody’s newest craftsmanship. Add a big batch of popcorn, and there you have it. The perfect weekend affair.
