why it is absolutely 100% Mandatory
that we get an office piglet
I’d say about 84 times a day we get distracted by tags in posts, pictures or videos on Facebook. And these tags are usually related to cute baby animal videos which means you hear a lot of ‘oooh’s’, ‘aaah’s’, and “OMG that is the cutest thing ever” echoing through the office.
One of our favorite pastimes is spending a countless amount of hours discussing our favorite animals and the opinions as to which animal is the cutest is very divided. I evidently always go for anything kitten related but I’m quite charmed by little baby deer’s too. May-Britt prefers puppies, our beauty editor Josselin is obsessed with baby elephants and Jet, our unprecedented health editor is a special case: “I can’t think of a favorite. Anything baby pretty much.” Enfin, our baby animal infatuation is uncanny, and therefore we find it to be completely necessary to have an office (baby) pet.
So now comes the hard part: which animal do we go for? A kitten doesn’t seem like good choice since it’ll turn your keyboard into its personal runway. A baby elephant, hmm well that thing’ll make so much noise and we already have a hard time concentrating. A puppy requires a lot of walks so that’s also a no-go, and an actual baby, I won’t even go there (and clearly that goes without saying). After careful consideration we’ve concluded which animal would be the perfect newest member of the office. So our darling May-Britt and lovely publisher, please pay close attention.
Our logo is pink, so why shouldn’t our office pet be?
So here it goes: we would like an office piglet. One of those innie mini pink ones with those teeter tooter little hooves and a small soft snout. A mini pig, they remain small and let’s be completely honest here, this small pink little piglet is the perfect accessory for our sleek white office right? Our logo is pink, so why shouldn’t our office pet be? See, there is no way around it. We still need a couple of brain storm sessions to finalize a name for our baby and okay, I guess we’ll accept your input too. It’ll spend its day trampling around the office and before you know it, it’ll be housebroken, cause these babies are smart! And think of it this way, we won’t be distracted by anymore video’s of piglets because we’ll have our own little fella, resulting in a peaceful shack. An entire babysitting schedule will be devised for evenings and weekends so no need to be hot and bothered about that either.
I’m somewhat taken aback by the fact that we don’t have an office pet already since any other normal office has had one for aaaages. But we’ll let this one slide, and as soon as our baby boy (or girl) finally arrives then it’ll be water under the bridge. We can be very forgiving types. So can we go and schedule in a fieldtrip to a baby piglet farm soon? The perfect outing to celebrate our return from New York. Just let me know which date works for you guys. Ciao!
P.S. We’ve got our sights set on this breed:
