Why you should go through your significant other’s phone
I’m pretty sure there isn’t any women who hasn’t had the urge to peek through their significant other’s cell phone. Just for “a reaaaaally quick look at who he’s been texting.” Very innocent, I trust him completely, just a quick snoop. Dear female population, this is an utterly awful idea and you should never ever do it. For the below mentioned reasons.
Nothing is what it seems
A conversation with some girl called Anne makes you livid. WHO IS THAT? AND WHY HAVE YOU BEEN TEXTING HER SO MUCH?!?!?!! To only find out a little later that Anne is his cousin, but you’ve already crossed the line. Long story short, the things you read you interpret differently then they way they are intended to be. So simple phrases like “hey, how’re you doing? I haven’t seen you in a while,” is technically a very guiltless message, but you will most likely automatically assume that the girl wants your guy, suddenly making the message very suspicious and annoying.
Everyone deserves to have a bit of privacy
Whatever he has in his phone is his own business and none of yours. How would you feel if he went behind your back and checked out everything you have in yours? Exactly.
there’s a bigger problem at hand
The fact that you even find it necessary to glance through his cell phone is probably the biggest problem of all. What are you looking for? What do you think you’ll find? If you don’t trust him 100%, then that’s a problem you need to find a solution for and you won’t find it in his cell phone.
theres nothing you can do with the information you found
Okay, imagine you found something which is not okay, what are you going to do about it? You can’t just suddenly go up to him and say “hey I’ve been snooping through your phone and I came across this and YOU are an ass” when you yourself are pretty much an ass too. Illegally obtained evidence is what they call it in court and the same goes for your relationship.
Some things you just shouldn’t want to know
Everyone is guilty of sending out flirty texts to someone, but that doesn’t mean it has to mean anything. So when you read one it makes you panic which is aggravating and very unnecessary. So leave it be, it’ll be better that way.
