“Single women aren’t looking to have sex on the first date” is an article header we’ve seen pop up numerous times on the web or in magazines. “She’d rather be kissed at the end of the first date and schedule a second one.” A Dutch company web shop called Men Today did a bit of research with 1108 single women back in February with a bunch of remarkable results.

“Just a fun night, we’ll see what happens”

The most remarkable being that 48% of the women claimed that they only date “a few times a year.” What? A few times a year? I find a few times a year to be a very low amount. And aside from that, 70% of the women said that when they go on a date they’re “just looking to have a good time and see what happens,” but meanwhile it appears that 86% aren’t happy about their single status. Then go on dates more often if you aren’t happy. They prefer to end the date with a “great kiss” (45%) or “scheduling in a second date” (47%), and they’re not really in the mood for sex, though 1% sees that as the perfect ending to the night. A few other clichés were mentioned like “he should look cool but casually dressed and sneakers are fine” and that he should act “relaxed and be himself.”

All in all, this left me with a bit of a dull view of these single females but then again a single girl begging for attention can be a bit of a bore too. If you’ve got a first date planned somewhere in your agenda, here are a few tips to survive your first date.
