10 x why the iPhone 7 is unreal

Okay, I’ve had my new dandy device for about a week now. Pretty much as soon as I got back to Amsterdam from New York I got to replace my rose gold iPhone 6 for the 7.

The line in front of the Apple Store was insane, but luckily I got to walk right past it and enter the building through an ultra deluxe other door on the side. On my way to the head office of Apple in the Netherlands. A.k.a. phone heaven.

Then I was brought to a small room for a crash course in how the iPhone 7  and 7 Plus work. So hereby I’m sharing their wisdom with you, and by the end of this, you’re going to want the iPhone 7 too.

1. The camera

The camera, the camera oh boy, the camera. There are two cameras to be exact. One has a wider lens for more panorama-like photos and the other is a regular lens. And no, it isn’t rocket science to know which one you have to use because the iPhone will do it all for you. Ka-ching.

2. The colors

It seems like all your photos get a built in filter on them, which is false because the coloring is just that good giving all your colors even more depth. Especially reds, yellows and greens do it very very well on screen.

3. Easy blur

You’re also capable of blurring parts of your photos. You just have to indicate if you want something to be sharp in the photo. Believe me, it’s never been easier and the iPhone 7 does it all for you.

4. The sound

Oh guys, the sound on this thing. It has two sound boxes on it. There are a ton of new ringtones. Even the older ringtones suddenly sound a lot better.

5. The grip

Your home button at the bottom is, let’s see if I can explain this so everyone understands, more raw and works with added pressure. You’re able to change the strength of the pressure to your own liking. This also means you’re able to use it with gloves now too which is perfect news for people like Karl Lagerfeld.

6. The screen

Alright, I’m not an tech nerd so I don’t know how to explain this too well, but Apple has come up with something that adds small vibrations to the screen. For example when you’re playing a game, then you’ll feel something vibrate. How cool is that?

7. Water resistant

You still can’t take it with you when you go swimming (although you can do that with the new Apple Watch), but it can definitely survive getting caught in the rain or that unexpected dive in the toilet. If it happens, give it a couple of taps with the part you stick the charger in at the bottom so that the water can come out and let it rest for six hours. Just avoid charging it and all should be fine.

8. The flash

Twice as strong as the 6 and with even more reach, so it takes your background surroundings into account and avoids making your face too bright on the screen (not a pretty face) when you’ve got a dark background.

Going to last you so much longer…
