4X benefits of blue berries (recipe included)
The sweeter, the better. Obviously. I always put blueberries in my smoothies, in my yoghurt and in my muesli, and I’ll sometimes even add them to my salads. Don’t be fooled by their size though. They may be small but a handful of these little guys are extremely good for you and I’m here to tell you why. Recipe included.
- Blueberries contain a lot of antioxidents which help protect DNA damage which takes place in our bodies every day. DNA damage is a huge cause of aging.
- Antioxidants reduce the amount of oxidative stress in the body. Sounds good to me.
- Intense workouts give you extremely sore muscles. Blueberries can decrease the pain. So use them in your smoothies for after you workout.
- Blueberries help you lower your blood pressure. That’s why it’s the perfect fruit to help you start off your day. If you start your day off eating fruit that contains a lot of sugar, your blood pressure will rise, which will give you a serious case of the muchies. So, it’s best you keep it low.
