5 quick steps to skirt-proof legs

The suns been out all week and those legs of yours probably still need to get out of their winter hibernation. So help! Where do you begin?

Alright, I’ll admit it. Perhaps I’m not the best person to give you advice about how to make your bare legs presentable. I despise skin colored tights and two months ago when I actually had the nerve to leave my house (in the dead of winter might I add) in a skirt, I was declared crazy. So it’s time for a rematch. My legs are completely skirt-proof. Yours aren’t? Don’t worry, I’m here to help.

Step 1: scrub, scrub, scrub

A smart beginning is half the work. Bye bye, dead skin cells. Tip: use an oil based scrub. Not only will it make your skin soft, it will nourish it too.

Step 2: shave, shave, shave

Once step one has been completed, it’s time to say goodbye to all the hair. How awkward would you feel when the sun is out and you can practically count every hair on your leg? Shaving (preferably under the shower) is your quickest solution, waxing is better long term. Take your pick.

Step 3: a 2 minute massage

Great for the blood circulation and to prepare your calves for all the high heels you plan on wearing this summer.

Step 4: go to a tanning booth (or get a tan from a bottle)

Takes a quick fifteen minutes and at least your pale legs situation will be taken care of. Use a self-tanner afterwards to double the effect.

Step 5: a silky smooth touch-up

After showering and massaging, it’s time to pamper your legs with some lotion. You probably didn’t give your legs the attention they deserved in the winter and now they’re completely dry and can use some extra tender love and care. So smear them in, from your thighs all the way down to your toes. And there you have it. Prepped and ready to head out the door in your spring wardrobe.
